Roger Vivier
Process to Perfection
Roger Vivier: Process to Perfection paid homage to the creative methodology of the legendary shoe designer. The Bata Shoe Museum’s Vivier collection was complemented by loans from world-renowned institutions, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Deutsch Ledermuseum, and the Roger Vivier brand.
Origin Studios designed three distinct spaces: the Salon, evoking the elegance of a Paris couture boutique; the Perfection Room, showcasing Vivier’s finished masterpieces; and the Process Room, offering insight into the designer’s imagination through original drawings and prototype “pullovers” created for Christian Dior. The Process Room’s minimalist design acted as a blank canvas for Vivier’s ideas and artistry. Origin Studios also collaborated with the Museum to repurpose elements from earlier exhibitions, extending their lifespan, reducing waste, and achieving significant cost savings.
