Origin Studios co‑led the permanent gallery design for the Canadian War Museum, creating compelling exhibitions about the military events that have shaped Canada’s history. In this elaborate and complex space, objects ranged from massive military vehicles to precious medals to fragile archival documents. Origin Studios developed a design that balanced graphics with the building’s architecture, resulting in a series of immersive experiences that shift between peaceful harmony and combative tension at different times in Canada’s history.

Designed as a tribute to those who served, the galleries presented an extraordinary breadth of stories. The design had to accommodate multiple levels of information in a carefully-arranged hierarchy, incorporating over two kilometres of graphics, 2,000 photographs and 250,000 words.
